E.L.F. supports Breast Cancer Research

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and E.L.F. is giving all proceeds from the sale of its mineral lip gloss in Pageant Princess. So you can grab some makeup at a great price and for a good cause too.

Mineral makeup has been on my mind lately. I have been wanting to try it for years. I have to use good face makeup because I have sensitive skin suddenly. I say suddenly because as a teenager I never (well I shouldn’t say NEVER, but very rarely) had acne or any kind of blemishes and let me assure you, I did nothing for my face. I would wash with plain water. I could use makeup from the dollar store and it would never bother me.

I should have really enjoyed my supple teenage, non-sensitive, acne-free skin because now that I’m in my twenties, I have break-outs! Go figure. I have to take better care of my skin now than I did when I was a teenager. I know I should be more consistent since I do have the basic necessities to take better care of my skin. I would like to try some of E.L.F.’s mineral makeup to see if I have less irritation than I would with other makeup brands that I have tried. In fact, I think that when I get new makeup I’m going to try some mineral makeup. I’m not really much of a makeup wearer, but I like to have what I need when I want to wear it. I’m not one of those girls who has to “put on my face”. I feel comfortable with or without makeup. I have a small makeup collection of the basics: powder, mascara, eye liner, lip liner, lip stick, blush, and eye shadow.

I would never dream of buying cheap cosmetics again. Instead, I purchase my makeup products on sale. You should also know that E.L.F. (which stands for eyes, lips, face in case you were wondering) is offering a special golden look cosmetic collection for free when you buy $20 worth of product! The coupon code is GTLGOLD. There is also a subscription to Women’s Health thrown in if your order is $30 or more. And only two dollar shipping if you spend $15 or more (code FBLIKE 2 at checkout) I love gifts with purchase! Am I the only person in the world who hasn’t tried mineral makeup? Do you use it?

It took me a while but I love mineral makeup too. I found I don't have to wear as much (which is the best part).
